JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, Vancouver

Check-in felt unhurried in the way you hope a five-star lobby will feel. I was greeted before I had fully settled my bag, and the desk walked me through the room key and lounge access without rushing the next person in line. The walk to the room was calm — soft lighting, quiet carpet — and by the time the door opened I already felt looked after.

A small kindness that stuck

Later that evening I asked at the desk whether there was a quieter corner for a short call. The clerk did not simply point; she walked me toward a softer lobby alcove and checked whether the seating felt comfortable. It was a tiny gesture, and exactly the hospitality texture this hotel promises.

I stayed here during the FIFA World Cup and I was blown away that such a beautiful hotel exists in downtown Vancouver. The front desk staff are very polite and accommodating. The room was beautiful and immaculate. Stunning views of the water and Science World. The bathroom shower has marble and was so relaxing to shower in, the shower gel smelled so good! We were only here for 1 night but we wish we stayed longer. I forgot to buy some of their shower gel on my way out... it smelled that good, will definitely stay here again, it is the BEST hotel in all of the Lower Mainland.

I recently stayed at the hotel while attending a conference with SurveyMonkey, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, which made it easy to relax after long conference days. The amenities were fantastic and truly elevated my stay. The front desk staff were a pleasure to interact with - professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind every time I passed through the lobby. One of the absolute highlights of my visit was a massage with Natalie. It was truly life-changing. Thank you, Natalie, for working through the stiffness and pain I had in my upper back and for the thoughtful personal recommendation you shared afterward. It made a meaningful difference, and I left feeling renewed. It was such a wonderful experience, and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

A beautiful 5-star stay at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt elegant, modern, and welcoming. As a Lifetime Titanium member, I was very grateful for the incredible upgrade to room 2201, a beautiful two-bedroom suite. The suite was spacious, stylish, and extremely comfortable — truly one of the nicest upgrades we have received. The lounge was also a highlight of our stay. I took several photos because the space was so lovely, and both the breakfast and evening snacks were excellent. Everything was well presented, fresh, and enjoyable. The location is another big plus. The hotel is close to great walking areas along the water, which made it easy to enjoy Vancouver’s scenery and relax outside the hotel as well. Overall, this was a fantastic stay. Beautiful property, excellent lounge, great location, and a memorable suite upgrade. We loved our time here and would happily stay again.

10/10 experience. I’ve stayed here twice and each time it was perfect. The rooms are spotless and beautiful. The view was great. The fitness room is 10/10. The location is great when you’re on vacation. It gives me Vegas big hotel vibes in the best way. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when going to Vancouver.

We had an exceptional experience as vendors, working with the events team at Parq. The event itself was perfectly executed, the food was beyond incredible and the staff professionalism and attentiveness exceeded all expectations. As vendors, we felt incredibly looked after and assistance was always offered in any task we performed - something we wouldn't expect anywhere, but was so much appreciated. We would highly recommend JV Parq Marriott for your wedding and events!

The JW MArriott Parq is a huge hotel connected to the BC Arena. The lobby is a very friendly and relaxt area of the hotel, where the staff takes care of you with the highest level of service. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The bathroom is a little less big, but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast staff is more than friendly and makes sure you will have the best start of the day. I’ll be back.

Settling into the room

The room met me with soft light and a view that pulled my eyes to the water before I had unpacked. Space felt generous without being cold; the bed was the first thing I tested, and it held that deep-hotel hush you want after travelling. Marble in the shower and a gel scent guests rave about made the bathroom feel like a small spa pause rather than an afterthought.

For my own trip the location was wonderfully usable. I could walk the waterfront paths after meetings, slip back to the lobby without a long transfer, and still feel tucked into downtown’s energy. Qualitatively the stay felt worth every early alarm and every late walk back — comfort without fuss, polish without stiffness.

Stepping outside, the immediate surroundings reward a slow stroll: water, open sky, and the arena district’s evening glow. On checkout morning the desk was as gracious as arrival — a last smile, a clear direction to the exit, and the sense that the hotel still had time for me even as I left.

The room itself

Light, space, and the first quiet minute

Afternoon light slid across the glass and made the room feel wider than its footprint. I noticed the view first — water and the Science World silhouette other guests mention — then the bed, then the hush of the corridor sealing behind the door. Nothing shouted. Everything felt arranged for rest: soft textures, a bathroom that invited a long shower, and a sense of downtown calmed into something cosy.

I spent the first half hour doing very little on purpose — sitting, looking out, letting the city noise stay outside. That is the kind of five-star comfort I trust most: not spectacle, just a room that makes staying in feel like a choice rather than a compromise.

Who should book it

CouplesWater views and a calm room for an unhurried city night.
FamiliesSpacious rooms and a polished base near walkable waterfront.
BusinessConference-friendly calm with a lobby that still feels warm.
WeekendersA treat stay when you want downtown without losing comfort.

The evening rhythm

Evening around Parq softens into reflections on the water and a gentle bustle near the arena district. I walked a short loop and came back to a lobby that still felt welcoming rather than loud — lamps low, voices low, staff still noticing guests as they passed. It was the kind of night rhythm that invites an early rest without making you feel you missed the city.

Measured against its class

As a five-star hotel carrying a 4.2/5 across 5147 guest reviews, Parq is asked to deliver polish, space, and attentive service — and the guest file largely says it does. Praise clusters around immaculate rooms, water views, lounge hospitality, and staff who feel genuinely kind rather than scripted.

It wears its five stars comfortably: luxurious where it counts, human at the desk.

The softer notes — a bathroom that can feel smaller than the room, the sheer scale of a hotel tied to the arena — do not undo the class promise. They simply remind you this is a large, modern property, not a hideaway cottage.
